Kanpur, Nov. 13 -- Following the Delhi blast, the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has gone into action mode.

ATS officers detained Dr. Mohammad Arif, a cardiologist from Kanpur on Wednesday night.

Arif, who hails from Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir, is suspected to have links with individuals involved in anti-national activities.

According to preliminary investigations, Dr. Arif had been in contact for a long time with Shahin and her brother Parvez, both under scrutiny for alleged terror links.

The ATS has seized Arif's laptop and mobile phone, reportedly finding suspicious data on them. He has been taken to Delhi for further interrogation alongside suspects already arrested in the blast case.
