Lucknow, Aug. 4 -- The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested two individuals for allegedly spreading extremist ideologies and maintaining contact with Pakistani nationals through social media platforms.

The operation is part of an ongoing crackdown on anti-national activities and radical elements operating online.

According to an official statement made on Monday evening, the ATS had been closely monitoring suspicious digital activities and came across a WhatsApp group named "Reviving Islam", which reportedly had around 400 members, including three administrators from Pakistan. Among the group's members was a mobile number linked to an individual residing in Uttar Pradesh.
