Lucknow, Dec. 24 -- The winter session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Thursday witnessed sharp exchanges as the principle opposition Samajwadi Party (SP) targeted the government over the alleged encroachment of the Aravalli hills and the power situation in the state.

Responding to the allegations, Energy Minister A K Sharma urged members to raise their concerns directly with him, assuring that the government would take steps to resolve them.
