Lucknow, Sept. 10 -- With an aim of reducing road accidents and deaths in Uttar Pradesh by 50 per cent, the Transport Department has prepared a proposal for a community-based road safety programme.
According to the sources, the plan has been prepared after the remarks made by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at a departmental function on Saturday, where he expressed concern over increasing road accidents and deaths. "It has been sent to the government for approval," officials informed.
