Firozabad (UP), Nov. 24 -- A youth was today arrested for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Home Minister Amit Shah on social media by the police from Eka police station in Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh, police sources said.
Police sources said that a video of the youth using casteist words and derogatory language against Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Shah, along with all saffron-clad people, went viral on social media.
"Taking cognizance of the objectionable video, the police investigated and identified the youth," they said.
Police sources said that the station in-charge arrested the accused, Umesh, a resident of Nagla Bhadana, based on a mobile phone tip.
