Lucknow, Nov. 23 -- The India Meteorological Department(IMD) has said that temperatures in the state are gradually dropping due to the resumption of cold and dry winds from the westerly and northwestern directions.
Maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to further decrease by 2-3 degrees Celsius over the next 2-3 days, further exacerbating the cold wave in the state, the IMD predicts.
According to Meteorological Department scientist Dr AK Singh, dense fog is likely to prevail in the western regions and Bhabar-Terai regions of the state during the morning (dawn), while light to moderate fog may prevail in other parts of the state.
