Mau, Feb. 18 -- A 26-year-old truck driver was burned alive after his coal-laden truck caught fire following a collision with a stationary sand-loaded trailer in Mau district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.

The incident happened on the four-lane highway in Basarathpur under Doharighat police station.

The deceased driver has been identified as Sandeep Rana, a resident of Choparan in Jharkhand.

According to eyewitnesses, two sand-laden trailers heading toward Gorakhpur had been parked on the roadside due to a dispute between their drivers. Meanwhile, a coal-loaded truck travelling from Varanasi toward Gorakhpur rammed into one of the stationary trailers from behind.

The impact was so severe that the coal-laden truck immediately caught fire...
