Azamgarh/Bijnor, Dec. 18 -- Dense fog on Thursday morning led to two separate road accidents in Uttar Pradesh, resulting in three deaths and multiple injuries.
In the first incident, a speeding truck rammed into a car from behind on the Purvanchal Expressway near milestone 254 under Mubarakpur police station limits in Azamgarh district. The collision was so severe that the car was completely crushed.
According to CO Sadar Aastha Jaiswal, seven people from Alipur village under Sardhana police station in Meerut district were travelling to Varanasi in an Omni car. Due to poor visibility caused by heavy fog, a truck hit their vehicle from the rear. Three people, including a father and his minor son, lost their lives in the accident.
