Bahraich (UP), Oct. 8 -- Three people, including two members of a family, were injured today when a tiger attacked a motorcycle in the Katarniaghat Wildlife Division of Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh, forest department sources said.
Sources said that the incident occurred on the Bichhiya-Girijapuri road in the Katarniaghat range, creating panic in the area.
"According to reports, Ghulam Hafiz, a resident of Bardiya village, was taking his mother, Safikun (60) and niece, Khatija (10), to Chafaria for treatment," they said.
Sources said that around 9 am, when they reached a forest area about 500 meters from Bichhiya, a tiger suddenly appeared on the road and attacked Safikun and Khatija.
