Ghazipur (UP), Oct. 19 -- Three girls today drowned while taking bath in the Ganga river in the Karand area of Ghazipur district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here.
Police sources said that about seven women, including three girls from Ramjanpur: including Poonam (19), Roli (16) and Khushi (12), all residents of Udharanpur, reached Amwa Ghat in the morning to bathe in the Ganga.
"While bathing, they suddenly fell into deep water, and in an attempt to save each other, all seven drowned," they said.
