Pratapgarh, Oct. 26 -- Sub-Inspector Mahanand Tiwari, posted at the Women's Police Station in Pratapgarh district, was killed in a road accident this morning. Tiwari hailed from Saroudha village in Chitrakoot district.
According to reports, Tiwari had gone to the Antu police station for the investigation of a case. While he was returning, his motorcycle was struck by a brick-laden dumper truck near the Lohangpur bypass, close to Sarai Birbhadra village under Antu police station limits.
The collision was so severe that the sub-inspector died on the spot.
