Rampur (UP), March 5 -- A 50-year-old Sub-Inspector (SI) allegedly hanged himself in his barrack and committed suicide in Suar area of the district in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, police sources said here. Police sources said that Nayab Khan, who was posted at Suar Kotwali of the district, hanged himself in his barrack room in uniform. "Nayab Khan was SI of 1994 batch and was posted in Halka number one, although he had been transferred. He was due for promotion," they said.
