Fatehpur (UP), May 2 -- One worker was killed and five others were injured after being buried under the debris during the demolition of an old dilapidated building in the Khadi Bhandar area of Fatehpur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that the contractors of a construction agency were demolishing the 60-year-old dilapidated building without following safety standards when suddenly six workers were seriously injured after being hit by the debris. "All of them were taken to Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared Shashi Devi (35) dead. The condition of the other five workers is stated to be serious," they said.
