Pratapgarh, Aug. 30 -- A mother-son duo were electrocuted after coming in contact with the current in a fodder machine in Pratapgarh district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here today.
Police sources said that Lal Piyush Singh, a resident of Tejgarh village in the Leela Pur police station area, is the operator of a medical store.
"Yesterday evening, Lal Piyush's wife, Vidyavati Singh (55), was going to cut fodder in the machine, during which she came in contact with the current in the fodder machine," they said.
Police sources said that to save his mother, her younger son, Lal Saransh Singh (24), ran, and during this time he also came in contact with the current and sustained burn injuries.
