Jalaun (UP), Aug. 18 -- A man today threw his two daughters into the Yamuna river and jumped into it, allegedly due to a domestic dispute in the Rampura area of Jalaun district here in Uttar Pradesh, a police officer said.

Circle Officer Madhavgarh Ambuj Singh said that Rajjan Nishad (28), a resident of Madhepura village, was addicted to alcohol and often quarrelled with his wife.

"After such a dispute on Monday, he reached Juhika bridge with his daughters Sunaina (6), Ala (4) and Chhoti (2). Reaching there, he first threw Ala and Chhoti into the river. Seeing this, the elder daughter Sunaina got scared and ran from the bridge," he said.
