Kaushambi (UP), Feb. 12 -- A man was sentenced to life imprisonment along with a penalty of Rs 60,000 whereas his aide was awarded two years jail term by a local court here on Monday in an eight-year-old kidnapping and murder case, prosecution sources said here.
Prosecution sources said that on February 12, 2015 Ram Khelawan Yadav, a resident of Ashrafpur village, lodged a complaint that his cousin brother Arjun Yadav was kidnapped and murdered. "The police lodged a case against Sonpal Lodha and Dinesh Maurya in this connection," they said.
Prosecution sources said that based on the evidence available on record the court of Additional Sessions Judge Shirin Zaidi held the two accused guilty of Arjun's murder. "While Sonpal was sentenced to...
