Baghpat, Jan. 26 -- A 35-year-old man died under suspicious circumstances after his mobile phone battery allegedly exploded while charging in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh, police said today.
The incident occurred in village Khubbipur Nivada, about 500 metres from the Delhi-Saharanpur highway.
The deceased, Anil Kumar, a resident of village Sirsali, had been working at a bread factory for the past three months and was living alone in a rented room. On Sunday evening, when he did not respond to phone calls, the house owner reached the room and found Anil's charred body lying on the floor. A burnt mobile phone was found near his head.
Police and forensic teams reached the spot and took the body into custody for post-mortem examination....
