Lucknow, Jan. 29 -- The special MP-MLA court here today dismissed a petition filed against Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi in connection with allegations related to British citizenship.
The decision came after eight days of continuous hearings in the matter.
Special Judge (Third ACJM) Alok Verma, while delivering the order, stated that no directive has so far been issued by either the High Court or the Supreme Court in this regard. The court observed that the petitioner failed to present any new or concrete evidence concerning Rahul Gandhi's citizenship.
