Bahraich, Dec. 19 -- A seven-year-old girl was killed in a leopard attack in Bahraich district, officials said on Friday.
The incident occurred in Ayodhyapurwa village under the Sujauli police station area of Mihipurwa tehsil, around 110 kilometers from the district headquarters on Thursday evening.
According to local residents and officials, the child, identified as Aaleemin, was playing outside her home with her brothers when a leopard emerged from a nearby sugarcane field and attacked her. The animal reportedly dragged the girl into the fields despite attempts by family members and villagers to intervene.
