Rampur/Barabanki, Feb. 4 -- A team of the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad arrived in Swar area of Rampur today to gather information related to Faizan Salmani, who was recently arrested on charges of alleged involvement in terrorist activities.
The team, travelling in two vehicles, visited Faizan's house along with Swar Kotwali police and questioned his family members.
Faizan Salmani, a resident of Narpatanagar in Swar, was arrested a few days ago by the Gujarat ATS. He was working as a tailor in Navsari, Gujarat. His arrest has caused distress among family members. His father, Shakeel Ahmed, and Nagar Panchayat Chairman Khalid Ali had travelled to Gujarat to meet him and returned late Tuesday night.
