Azamgarh (UP), May 16 -- Two minor cousin sisters died after drowning in a pond in the Ahraula area of the district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Friday.
Police sources said that both the sisters had gone to graze buffaloes yesterday evening.
"When they did not return for a long time, the family members went to look for them late in the evening and found the bodies of both the sisters floating in the pond. Both of them were immediately sent to the hospital, where doctors declared them dead," they said.
Police sources said that the deceased have been identified as Razia (10) and Shazia (12).
