Hardoi, Jan. 31 -- The Pali police station premises was plunged into mourning after the eight-month-old son of a constable posted there died while playing with a balloon, police said on Saturday.
The toddler, identified as Suryansh, reportedly suffocated after a small balloon became lodged in his throat, leaving the family and police personnel deeply shocked.
Constable Titu, posted at Pali police station, lived in the government residential quarters within the station campus with his wife Sushma and their son Suryansh. At the time of the incident on Friday evening, Constable Titu had gone to Hardoi on official duty, while his wife was at home. The child was playing nearby with a balloon.
