Gonda (UP), Dec. 11 -- The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Corruption Organisation (ACO) team on Wednesday arrested Shashikant Singh, Senior Assistant at the Chief Medical Officer's (CMO) office, while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 in exchange for clearing a medical reimbursement payment.
Singh, a resident of Sahatwar village in Ballia district, was allegedly caught red-handed during a trap operation.
According to the complaint filed by Trap Team In-charge Raj Kishor Yadav, a case has been registered against the accused at Dehat Kotwali under the Prevention of Corruption Act and other relevant sections.
