Vrindavan, Dec. 27 -- : Uttar Pradesh BJP President Pankaj Chaudhary paid his respects at the world-famous Thakur Banke Bihari Temple and performed prayers according to religious rituals on Saturday.

This was the first visit of the state BJP president to Mathura - Vrindavan after assuming the new responsibility.

After the darshan, Chaudhary, who is also union minister of state for finance, addressed the media and gave a strong reaction to the upcoming assembly elections and the statements of opposition leaders.

Speaking to reporters outside the temple premises, Chaudhary expressed confidence, saying that the blessings of the people are with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
