Lucknow, March 16 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday released the long-awaited list of party district and Mahanagar presidents, a party spokesman said here.
The spokesman said that names of 70 presidents have been announced in the total 98 organisational district units (including district and Mahanagar) of the state and the presidents of the remaining 28 district units will be announced later.
BJP's Uttar Pradesh Election Officer and former Union Minister Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey said that 70 district presidents have been announced in the state. "Of these district presidents, 39 belong to the general category, 25 to the other backward classes and six to the Scheduled Castes, while five women are also included," he said.
