Lucknow, Jan. 29 -- In a state cabinet meeting held on Thursday, the Uttar Pradesh government decided that all 99 Hindu Bengali families displaced from East Pakistan (Bangladesh) and living in Meerut district will be resettled in Rasulabad tehsil of Kanpur Dehat district.
The cabinet meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The case concerns the village of Nangla Gosai in Mawana tehsil of Meerut district, where 99 Hindu Bengali families displaced from East Pakistan have been illegally living on a lake land for a long time.
According to the cabinet decision, all 99 families will be resettled in Rasulabad tehsil of Kanpur Dehat district. Fifty families will be settled on 11.1375 hectares (27.5097 acres) of land registered in ...
