Agra (UP), May 28 -- A special court here on Wednesday held 36 accused guilty and acquitted 15 giving the benefit of doubt in the almost 34 years old infamous Panwari case of Agra district here in Uttar Pradesh, prosecution sources said here.
Prosecution sources said that the court of SC-ST Judge Pushkar Upadhyay has fixed May 30 as the next date to pronounce the quantum of punishment.
Prosecution sources said in the year 1990, violence broke out in Panwari village over the marriage procession of the daughter of a SC family.
