New Delhi, March 19 -- : Delhi-NCR received unseasonal rain for a second day in a row, accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms.

Several areas across the city witnessed an overcast sky with drizzle in the late afternoon on Thursday, followed by a brief evening downpour.

Officials from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said light to moderate rainfall is likely at several places across Delhi and the NCR, with wind speeds expected to reach 30-40 kmph.

At Safdarjung, the city's base weather station, 8.2 mm of rainfall was recorded in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 am on Thursday, placing it in the 'light rainfall' category.
