New York, Sept. 10 -- The UN Security Council is set to convene an emergency session on Wednesday night in response to Israel's attack in Qatar on Tuesday, after security forces carried out a missile strike in a Doha complex - eliminating most of the Hamas leadership behind the October 7 massacre.

The session has been called in response to appeals by Algeria and Pakistan, reports Jerusalem Post.

In response, the Israeli ambassador to the UN, Danny Dannon defended the IDF operation and said "There will be no immunity for terrorists - neither in Gaza, nor in Lebanon, nor in Qatar. The Algerian ambassador chooses to cooperate with Hamas and provide them with a tailwind from within the Security Council.
