Mumbai, Jan. 4 -- Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday demanded that the recent unopposed municipal corporation elections be scrapped outright instead of being subjected to an inquiry.

He also called for strict action against Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar, alleging misuse of authority during the election period.

Thackeray was speaking at the release of the "Shivshakti Manifesto" for the upcoming municipal elections, unveiled jointly by Shiv Sena (UBT) and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).
