Ranchi, July 30 -- The Jharkhand Assembly's monsoon session, scheduled from August 1 to 7, is expected to be a crucial one for the state government.

Spread across five working days, the session will witness the tabling of the first supplementary budget of the current financial year along with several legislative proposals. At the centre of political and institutional debate is the Jharkhand University Bill, 2025, which aims to alter the existing framework for the appointment of vice-chancellors and senior officials in state-run universities.
