Kolkata, May 6 -- Union Minister of State for Education and Development of Northeast Sukanta Majumdar on Tuesday appealed to all citizens, especially the students, to come forward and volunteer to take part in the mock-drill to be held nationwide on Wednesday.
"All the citizens, students, volunteers, BJP karyakartas for the mock drill to ensure preparedness in case of any exigency," said Majumdar, also the BJP state president.
He said the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has directed all states to conduct mock drills on May 7 to ensure preparedness and effectiveness of civil defence mechanisms.
