Bhagalpur, Sept. 19 -- union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Ramnath Thakur suddenly fell ill today and could not attend the NDA workers' conference during his visit to Bhagalpur.
He has been diagnosed with typhoid and was being closely monitored by a team of senior doctors.
Bhagalpur District Magistrate Nawal Kishore Choudhary and Civil Surgeon S. Prasad, visited Thakur in the circuit house and instructed the medical staff to maintain round-the-clock monitoring.
The minister is currently receiving treatment at the circuit house, with a team of senior doctors from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital (JLNMCH) supervising his care.
