Pune, Oct. 27 -- Taking note of the sentiments of the Jain community, union Minister of State Murlidhar Mohol today assured that efforts will be made to cancel the controversial sale transaction of the Jain Boarding House. He stated that the Jain community would not need to resort to any agitation.

The Jain Boarding House, originally established for the welfare of Jain students, was recently auctioned and sold through a tender process, a move that has sparked strong opposition from the community. Jain spiritual leaders have warned of an indefinite hunger strike starting on November 1 if the transaction is not revoked.

In this backdrop, Mohol met representatives of the Jain community for discussions. Around 200 members attended the meeting...
