Kolkata, June 28 -- Union Minister of State for Law & Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal today slammed the Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress government for its alleged appeasement policy, which according to him led West Bengal to a state of chaos and breakdown of law and order.
Addressing the media here, Meghwal pointing at a recent alleged gang rape of a girl student in the state-aided law college in the city said the crime followed a year after a resident doctor was raped and murdered in the RG Kar Medivcal College and Hospital in northern part of the city.
"This is an example of the breakdown of law and order situation of a state owing to the appeasement policy of Mamata Didi," the Union minister said.
