Union Minister Kishan Reddy urges Telangana CM to support renewable energy projects
Hyderabad, July 17 -- Union Minister for Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy has written to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, urging the state government to extend its cooperation in setting up major renewable energy projects across the state.
The Minister stated that Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs) under the Ministry of Coal, particularly Coal India Limited (CIL) and Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Limited (NLCIL), are prepared to invest nearly Rs 10,000 crore in Telangana over the next three years for the development of solar and wind power plants, pumped storage projects (PSPs), and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
