Hyderabad, Feb. 22 -- union Minister G. Kishan Reddy on Sunday expressed serious concern over the developments in Telangana and strongly condemned the arrest of state BJP president N. Ramchander Rao.

In a statement, Kishan Reddy said the situation unfolding in Kamareddy district was disturbing and alleged that the state government, instead of safeguarding democracy, was undermining it.

Referring to the house arrest of Kamareddy MLA Katipally Venkata Ramana Reddy, the union Minister alleged that baseless charges were levelled against the legislator and that he was placed under house arrest soon after challenging the allegations.
