New Delhi, May 20 -- Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Tuesday blamed the Congress government in Karnataka for the deaths of people in Bengaluru caused by rains and potholes, and sharply criticised the state administration for its failure to maintain basic infrastructure and civic amenities.
Speaking to reporters, Joshi questioned the rationale behind the state government's celebrations on the occasion of completing two years in power in Karnataka. "People have died in Bengaluru due to rains and potholes. What exactly are you celebrating?" he asked.
Joshi accused the Congress government of widespread corruption, citing major scams such as MUDA, Valmiki, and irregularities in the labour department.
