Chennai, June 27 -- Union Minister of State for Railways and Jal Shakti V. Somanna conducted
a window trailing inspection in Chennai - Arakkonam - Kanchipuram section today.
During the inspections, he reviewed the critical operational and safety aspects.
The Minister's two-day visit to Chennai concluded today, a Railway release said.
Vishwanath B. Eerya, Divisional Railway Manager/Chennai, A. Ilampooranan, Chief Project Manager/ Gati Sakti and other senior railway officials accompanied the Minister during the inspection.
On arrival at Kancheepuram station, the Minister inspected the station and took stock of the passenger amenities available.
