Chandigarh, March 23 -- The tragic suicide of Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, a District Manager with the Punjab Warehousing Corporation, has escalated into a national political issue, with union Home Minister Amit Shah indicating a readiness to hand over the investigation to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Addressing the Lok Sabha on Monday after Congress MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla raised the matter, Shah stated that since the incident involves a state matter, he would transfer the case to the federal agency if the Members of Parliament from Punjab provided a written request to that effect.
