Prayagraj, Feb. 19 -- Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday experienced the sanctity of the Maha Kumbh by taking a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati, in Prayagraj.
Expressing her joy, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman described the experience as a 'profound moment' in the Sanatan tradition. She was welcomed in Prayagraj by Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta 'Nandi,' who extended his greetings on her arrival. Accompanied by her family, she participated in the sacred ritual at the Sangam.
