Shimla, Feb. 1 -- The state unit of CPM criticised the union Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, saying it has totally ignored the interests of small hill states like Himachal Pradesh.
Himachal Pradesh is a revenue deficit state and under severe economic crises, said state secretary of CPM Sanjay Chauhan in a statement.
In this budget the finance minister has not given anything to the State and even the revenue deficit grant due to the State under the 16th Finance Commission is not mentioned clearly and as per the demand made by the government.
The state has suffered big losses in disasters due to heavy rains after 2023.
