Chennai, Feb. 1 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin onSunday termed the union Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharamanas disappointing and said it reflected theCentre's continued step-motherly treatmenttowards the State.

There were expectations of some key announcements in the budget considering thatthe Assembly elections are due in two months, but there are no such initiatives in it.

"At least this year, taking into account the ensuing polls, we thought that our voiceof rights will be heard by the union BJP government, but that expectations werebelied...the BJP government has disappointed us", Mr Stalin said in a statement,reacting to the Budget.
