Srinagar, Dec. 5 -- Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday said that the control of Kashmir's premier tertiary care hospital Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) was not with the elected government which was unfortunate.
Speaking at the 43rd Foundation Day celebrations of SKIMS, Omar said they were unable to understand why SKIMS was not under control of the elected government.
"When we don't get the files and cannot take decisions, then inviting us here and expecting us to speak makes little sense," he remarked. "But then I asked myself-why should SKIMS suffer for this?
