Kathmandu, March 24 -- The return of former King Gyanendra Shah to the national spotlight appears to have helped unite both the ruling and opposition parties in Nepal in voicing resistance.

Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that there is no possibility for the return of monarchy in Nepal.

Speaking at a programme organised by the Training Department of the Nepali Congress Bagmati Province Committee on Sunday, party President Deuba, hinting at the activities of the pro-monarchists who held massive rallies in support of the return of the monarch, said former King Gyanendra Shah cannot become a constitutional king.
