Ambedkarnagar, Dec. 18 -- An undertrial prisoner allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a towel in the bathroom of the district jail, triggering panic among jail authorities, officials confirmed on Wednesday.
Police reached the spot and initiated an investigation. In the presence of a magistrate, the body was taken into custody and a post-mortem examination was conducted by a team of Doctors under videography.
The deceased was identified as Sushil Tiwari alias Gyanu, a resident of Benipur village in Bhiti area.
