Patna, Oct. 6 -- union Education Minister and senior BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan today emphasised that a deep understanding of Bihar is essential to grasp the complexities of Indian politics.
Speaking at a programme organised by the Bihar Chamber of Commerce in Patna, Pradhan said that during his six years of representing Bihar, he had the opportunity to study the state's politics closely. "Anyone who does not understand Bihar will find it difficult to understand India's politics," he remarked.
The minister recalled the historical context, saying that Bihar and Odisha were once part of the same state before being separated in 1936 during British rule. Earlier in 1912, Bihar and Odisha had been carved out of Bengal.
