Shimla, June 12 -- Himachal Pradesh continues to reel under intense heatwave conditions, with Una recording a scorching maximum temperature of 43.0degC on Wednesday - the highest in the state.
Despite a marginal dip of 0.5degC from the previous day, temperatures remain well above normal in most parts of the region, intensifying discomfort for residents.
According to the Meteorological Department's 5:30 PM bulletin, several places in the state reported temperatures significantly above the seasonal average. Kalpa in tribal Kinnaur was unusually warm at 28.4degC, marking a 5.5degC departure from normal. Bhuntar (37.5degC), Manali (30.8degC), and Dharamshala (36.0degC) also reported temperatures 4 to 5 degrees above the norm.
