New York, Nov. 18 -- The UN Security Council on Tuesday approved a US-drafted resolution endorsing President Donald Trump's 20-point plan for Gaza, including the creation of the Gaza International Stabilisation Force (ISF), to which multiple unnamed countries have offered contributions.

The resolution, numbered 2803 (2025), was backed by 13 countries, including the UK, France, and Somalia, with no votes against, while permanent members China and Russia abstained.

A UN spokesperson called the adoption an "important step in the consolidation of the ceasefire," although Hamas rejected the resolution, arguing it fails to meet Palestinian rights and demands.
