Hyderabad, Sept. 18 -- The 21st International UXINDIA Conference, organised by the UMO Design Foundation, began today at a private hostel, Hitech City, here with a call to empower women through design education.
The three-day event has drawn over 1,500 delegates from 16 countries, with nearly 40 per cent being women, and features 85 international speakers.
Inaugurating the conference, UMO Founder and Chairman Kaladhar Bapu announced an ambitious goal: training one million women in design by 2030.
"In the past two years alone, we have trained 30,000 women. Our mission is to take this to a million. Women have immense potential to excel in design-not just as professionals, but as consultants and entrepreneurs," he said.
